QUOTE OF THE WEEK: "Life's Bargain"

"I BARGAINED WITH LIFE FOR A PENNY
AND LIFE WOULD PAY NO MORE
HOWEVER I BEGGED AT EVENING
WHEN I COUNTED MY SCANTY STORE"

"FOR LIFE IS A JUST EMPLOYER
HE GIVES YOU WHAT YOU ASK
BUT ONCE YOU HAVE SET THE WAGES,
WHY, YOU MUST BEAR THE TASK"

"I WORKED FOR A MENIAL'S HIRE,
ONLY TO LEARN, DISMAYED
THAT ANY WAGE I HAD ASKED OF LIFE,
LIFE WOULD HAVE WILLINGLY PAID"

Taken from pg. 22 of Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich"

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: from business icon EARL GRAVES SR., publisher of Black Enterprise Magazine

These words of inspiration were "kidnapped" from, publisher, Earl Graves Jr.'s page found in the January 09 edition of Black Enterprise Magazine.

"NO MORE EXCUSES"

Let us be clear: the presidential inauguration of Obama is not just about one, world changing moment. For African-Americans, it marks the birth of a new movement, one with a simple defining creed: No more excuses. To our young Black men, too many of whom have been allowed to embrace the sin of low expectation: No more excuses. To Black professionals lamenting racism on the job while worshiping daily at the altar of mediocrity: No more excuses. To those obsessed with the trappings of wealth, yet who refuse to invest in their own financial education or to exercise fiscal discipline: No more excuses. To those who complain about the ills of our community, yet who are unwilling to invest their time, money, or energy to bring about solutions: No more excuses.................The rallying cry of the Obama campaign was not "Yes He Can", but "Yes We Can." And now that we've done it, now that the impossible has proven possible after all, there is no turning back. There are no more excuses.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: Assata Shakur (from exile in Cuba)

"We’ve (Blacks in America) forgotten where we came from. People in Cuba have not lost their memory. They don’t suffer from historical and cultural amnesia. Cuba has less material wealth than America but are able to do so much with so little because they know where they come from.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"White supremacy domination and oppression of all non-white people is essential for global white genetic survival. The prevention of white genetic annihilation is pursued through all means, including chemical and biological warfare."

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"The stronghold of the American government is falling to pieces. She has lost her prestige among the nations of the Earth. One the the greatest powers of America was her dollar. The loss of such power will bring any nation to weakness, for this is the media of exchange between nations. The English pound and the American dollar have been the power and beckoning light of these two great powers. But when the world went off the gold and silver standard, the financial doom of England and America was sealed."
-Elijah Muhammad
pg. 275 of the book "Message to the Blackman"

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"YOU CAN'T BE FROM GOD AND BE MEDIOCRE...WE ARE CREATED TO MASTER. YOU APPROACH THE VIOLIN LIKE IT IS YOUR MASTER. APPROACH NOTHING AS IF IT IS YOUR MASTER. APPROACH EVERYTHING LIKE A MASTER.
