SUPREME COURT REJECTS MUMIA ABU JAMAL'S APPEAL

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected the appeal of one of the most supported political prisoners in the world, Mumia Abu Jamal. Jamal was convicted of killing a Philadelphia police officer 27 years ago. A federal appeals court has ordered a new sentencing hearing so federal prosecutors will now have to decide whether to put our brother to death or sentence him to prison for the rest of his natural life. Twenty seven years is a long time to be incarcerated. It is inspiring to see our brother still fighting for his freedom in the face of a criminal justice system that was never set up to give justice to the Black, poor and underpriviliged. His struggle is our struggle and it should inspire us all to push harder in the fight to free oppressed people throughout the Earth.
