DERIC MUHAMMAD to host NEW TALK SHOW on the newly launched BLACK BROADCASTING NETWORK (BBN)

“The Trap” is talk show/reality program that is set to become ground zero as THE information source for the hip-hop generation. Recognizing the need for a talk show that discusses social issues and current affairs from a hip-hop perspective we’ve created a program that tackles the issues that others are afraid to touch. This show is poised to change the pace and the face of consciousness among youth/young adults. It is a program that specifically targets the hearts and minds of Black audiences, ages 18-34, and uses the airwaves of the people to change how the hip-hop community is viewed. Tune in as our weekly host, Deric Muhammad, affectionately known as “Brother Deric”, brings entertainers, Black leaders, professionals, crime victims and others to discuss, debate and offer solutions to some of today’s most compelling and critical issues. What makes “The Trap” different from other programs of its kind is its raw honesty and no holds-barred approach to information dissemination. It is that show where young people can be themselves and hear issues addressed from a perspective that they can relate too. “The Trap” will also forsake the comfort of studio television and sometimes take its audience into some of the worst neighborhoods in urban America. We want America to have its fair share of face time with “the hood” as we hit the streets to take on subject matter that matters in the everyday life of urban U.S.A. This show will also take you overseas to study the impact of hip-hop worldwide and connect Black youth to the hip-hop generation in Africa, The Caribbean, etc. Be prepared for action, useful information, heated dialogue and healthy debate. Prepare to be angry and sad, yet uplifted and energized. Be prepared for “The Trap”.
