Al Sharpton Backs Caroline Kennedy for NY Senate Seat


Civil rights activist Al Sharpton met with Caroline Kennedy in a Harlem restaurant to discuss her upcoming bid for the New York Senate seat to be vacated by Hilary Clinton. Clinton will be joining the cabinet of President-elect Barack Obama as Secretary of State. Sharpton spoke to the press afterward, stating that Kennedy's celebrity should not be used against her. He praised her as an advocate who has used of her celebrity to raise money and awareness for humanitarian causes worldwide.
